La Roseta is one of the best spots I discovered in my “barrio”: La Barceloneta.
Narrow streets and authentic locals are just some of the incredible plus of living in this area. Historically, it’s been also called the “Little Naples” as the topography of the district reminded the historical centre of Napoli which is my home time.
A couple of weeks ago, we woke up very early for a Sunday, and suddenly we realized that the weather was so nice that it would be worth to be out for an “open-air” breakfast. We were hanging around without a proper direction once we’ve been enchanted by a yummy smell of coffee and croissants. It was la Roseta.
Rosa, the coffee owner, always welcomes her guests smiling. Her cafe looks tiny and cozy and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. If you go there on Sunday morning, it could be possible that you will just hear the sound of the cups and coffee maker as the barrio is still sleeping. The interior has a very minimalistic design which is characterized by amazing wooden surfaces and recycled furniture. I love the corner with the sofa and the surfboard!
Once you get in there, your eyes and nose will be filled with tasty flours and incredible colours. Sandwiches, handmade cheesecakes, cakes, and croissants are just part of the delicious breakfast you can get there! I would also suggest trying the Greek yogurt with honey, fruit, and muesli or the homemade cakes made after Rosa’s granny recipes.
I strongly recommend going there before starting your busy day. It’s definitely healthy and a perfect treat for yourself.
La Roseta is located in the heart of La Barceloneta, Career de Meer which is one of the narrows streets which bring you to the beach.
