World in Dots ("we," "our," or "us") provides the dotted maps generator platform located at worldindots.com and related applications (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing, browsing, or using the Service, you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms") and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the Service.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
The Service allows you to create, customize, and download dotted maps, graphics, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain all rights in your User Content, subject to the license below.
By submitting User Content, you grant World in Dots a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.
The Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, map data, and other content provided by World in Dots (collectively, "World in Dots IP") is owned by World in Dots or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no license or other rights are granted to you, and all rights in World in Dots IP are reserved.
The dotted maps generated using our Service are based on geographic data and algorithms owned or licensed by World in Dots. While you own the specific maps you create, the underlying map data, algorithms, and design tools remain the property of World in Dots.

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as payment processors). We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WORLD IN DOTS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORLD IN DOTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOOD-WILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (a) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, (b) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS OR DATA, OR (c) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS UNDER THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO WORLD IN DOTS IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (ii) USD 100.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless World in Dots and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if your use poses risk to World in Dots or others. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through final and binding arbitration administered in accordance with Norwegian law, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction in Norway.
Class-action waiver: All disputes must be brought in the parties' individual capacities, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.
